Anish Agarwal is a clinical innovation manager at the Penn Medicine Center for Digital Health. He is also an assistant professor and chief wellness officer in the Department of Emergency Medicine.
Anish holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and biomedical engineering from Tufts University and medical and public health degrees from Tufts University School of Medicine.
Anish completed his emergency medicine training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he served as chief resident. Following residency, he pursued further training in health services research within the National Clinicians Scholars Program at the University of Pennsylvania.
Anish’s research focuses on the intersection of digital health, mobile health, and acute care delivery. Specifically, he is interested in developing and evaluating novel approaches to help health systems better engage patients, support providers, and drive clinical change.
Anish’s work is supported through various funding mechanisms. He has been published in journals such as Annals of Emergency Medicine, Resuscitation, the Journal of General Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine.
