Many patients are eager to find information about their conditions online and utilize technology to monitor and track their health. However, navigating the sea of options available to find the right product or application can be a daunting task.
To lessen this burden on patients, we are working with providers at Penn Medicine to explore the feasibility of embedding digital health bars in clinical spaces.
Digital health bars would serve as a one-stop-shop for patients seeking connections to online services and resources, information about ongoing clinical trials, and recommendations for and assistance with wearable devices or mobile applications.
By helping patients access digital tools and technologies, we hope to increase patient engagement and interaction with providers as well as improve long-term health outcomes.
Through initials pilots, we’re seeking to learn more about demand, patient needs, and operational requirements to scale an offering like this across the health system.
