Anietie Andy is a senior data scientist at the Penn Medicine Center for Digital Health. His research focuses on applying machine learning and natural language processing techniques to large volumes of social media data to gain insights and create value for patients and health care providers.

Before joining the team, Anietie was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Computer and Information Science at the University of Pennsylvania, where his research was focused on paraphrase detection and summarizing events using Twitter streams related to these events.  Anietie completed his PhD in computer science at Howard University.
